Grief & Bereavement Support

Serving Phoenix & Maricopa County

Grief is a deeply personal journey, and no one should have to walk it alone. At Elevate Hospice, our bereavement team is here to provide compassionate support, resources, and a listening ear for families and caregivers as they navigate loss.

Grief & Bereavement Support

When a loved one dies, life changes in ways we never feel fully prepared for. It is common to experience sadness, anger, guilt, or a sense of emptiness. Some people feel withdrawn while others struggle with anxiety or the uncertainty of what comes next. There is no single way to grieve, and no right or wrong timeline.

At Elevate Hospice & Palliative Care, we walk alongside families through this difficult time. Our bereavement services include counseling, regular check-ins, and resources that provide comfort and guidance. Support is available before and after a loss, and continues for up to 13 months so families never have to go through grief alone.

Benefits of support groups

Grieving the loss of a loved one can feel deeply isolating, but you're not alone. Participating in a bereavement support group offers a space where you can connect with others who truly understand what you're going through. These groups bring together individuals who have experienced similar losses, whether a spouse, parent, child, or close friend, and create a safe environment for shared understanding and healing.

Support groups offer many emotional and practical benefits. For some, it's simply the comfort of knowing they're not the only ones feeling overwhelmed, confused, or heartbroken. For others, it's a chance to speak openly about grief without judgment, and to learn healthy ways to cope from those walking a similar path.

In Elevate’s bereavement groups, participants can:

Share their personal experiences in a safe, compassionate setting

Learn how others have navigated similar losses

Gain insight into the grieving process and what to expect

Discover emotional tools and coping strategies

Build meaningful connections during a time when many feel most alone

If you’re interested in joining a bereavement support group, we’re here to help you find the right setting and format that works for you.
